Rowland Junior Fellowship, Harvard University
Rowland Junior Fellowship, Harvard University
Rowland Institute at Harvard
The Rowland Institute is a Center within Harvard University with more than a dozen groups pursuing research in a wide variety of fields in experimental science. The main focus is the Rowland Junior Fellows program which currently has eight fellows, each fully supported and following their own research programs.
We are soliciting applications for Rowland Junior Fellowships in all the natural sciences and engineering, with special attention to interdisciplinary research and the development of new instrumental methods.
The program gives young experimentalists the opportunity to perform independent research under ideal conditions: a five year term, full salary, funding for start-up, operation and a postdoc/student, help from technicians, and, best of all, full access to the Institute’s shops and services.
The Fellows are unusual people, with both good ideas and good hands. They are selected for their scientific achievement, their creativity, their resourcefulness as experimentalists and their ability to work independently.
Instructions for applicants are detailed in the program brochure which can be found at http://www.rowland.harvard.edu/rjf/images/RJF_2010.pdf
Questions may be directed to rjf@rowland.harvard.edu.
The deadline for applications for Fellowships starting in the Fall of 2010 is November 30, 2009.
